After years of singing with the band L’Impératrice, she’s returning to her first love: the jazz she listened to as a teenager and has never stopped playing and celebrating.

“It’s jazz, but it’s fun,” Flore Benguigui warns. On stage, this statement becomes clear: here, jazz isn’t about posturing or erudition, but a collective and exhilarating playground where accidents are welcome. The goal: to immediately dismantle our preconceptions about a genre of music all too often considered “elitist” and to build bridges between eras—it’s jazz from the 1930s, yes, but told in the present tense, infused with new sounds and obvious joy.
